Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English model, actress, and television personality who rose to fame during the 90s, when she was the girlfriend of Hugh Grant. Hurley became the focus of the media during 1994, as Grant received worldwide recognition for the success of Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hurley accompanied Grant at the Los Angeles premiere of the film wearing the Versace Dress that had a plunge, and was held by gold safetypins. Hurley has enjoyed a thriving career, but her relationship to Estee Lauder cosmetics is the most important. Hurley was first offered a modeling job with the company at the age of 29 years old. The company has used Hurley as a brand model particularly for perfumes such as Sensuous Intuitions and Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington is her best well-known role in her roles in the Mike Myers spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me Both of which became hugely popular. Perry made more of a splash a few months later, with the single "I kissed a Girl an assertive ode to sexual curiosity backed by a hard-edged electro-pop beat. The track quickly caused debate as some critics accused its promotion of same-sex relationships as well as others argued that the sexually explicit scene the song depicted sparked men's fantasies about sexuality in females. The combination of excitement, a polished tune and an enthralling chorus made to make it a top ten song across multiple countries. It led to an album called of the same name of the Boys (2007) which was a huge success. Hot N Cold, Perry's energetic and sharply-tongued record with the song that was its second biggest hit was a hit. The album that Perry wrote by herself sold more than 3 million copies.
